Current Obsession with YSL

I'm not at all sure what started it, perhaps seeing the photo of the new Holiday Collection from YSL but it struck me as the most unique look I've seen so far this season! I got to see and swatch the new collection in a local German high end makeup store and just absolutley fell head over heels in love with it until dum dum dum.......the price jumped out and slapped me right in the face! What tha What $41 for an eyeshadow duo and then another $65 for the shimmering powder. Ouch! my wallet yelled out from my purse "NOOOOOO" so what can you do? Well I decided this look is easy to recreate I just have to dig into my collection for the right colors and maybe play around with mixing shades. One way or the other the look can be mine!!!! If you want to splurge on these items go for it and while you are at it check out some of the amazing colors they have paired together in they're beautifully packaged $41 duo!!!!! Or like me you can just draw inspiration from these beautiful combos

Pink Blush lippy

Pink Blush by Rimmel has been my obsession for the past 2 months and need I say why! look at this highly pigmented soft baby pink! I see this being great for winter makeup looks with shimmering cheeks and soft neutral eyes (heavy on the mascara as always) lol definetely my number 1 of the year!!!!!

Oh my it's been a long time since my last post! So much has been going on lately! Where to begin! Well we are now living in Germany and loving it I will try and post some pics. I hope to get back to blogging soon but the kids seem to interupt me everytime I try to get on the computer. I've been getting caught up on youtube though so YAY!!

two-toned LIPS what what!

According to June's issue of Cosmo the new trend in bold lips is going two-toned. Pulling off this look takes guts! Take a lighter shade on top and a brighter on bottom and remember not to Blot them todether.

What a week so far

Ok so I just got woke up by my 3 year old Channing. He has been getting up around 6am for the past month or so (grrrrrrrrr)! I am so not a morning person. My usual morning routine consists of grabbing some coffee and sitting on the porch enjoying the silence until I have fully woken up. Well this morning I heard some crazy birds chirping that sounded very unusual (not a fan of birds by the way) anyways the sound was coming from my neighbors yard. I look over to find 2 ducks in a cage! (WHAT THE WHAT). Ummmm I'm not understanding their need to keep ducks as a pet. They already have a maltese and a bunny that constantly escape into our yard so now I'm just waiting for the day when I walk into out back yard to find a duck in our kids swimming pool.

Oh and for some reason I've been able to get on youtube this week. I just clicked and there it was, so I got to film my first tutorial. I have another idea for my next one and I want to film it on my flip camera and to do that I have to have access to the youtube website buuuuuuuutttttt wouldn't you know I tried loggin in this morning and it is blocked again. I don't get it!!!!!!!!

Picked up a Conair lighted mirror for my vanity and I'm really enjoying it. Lipstick is revlon colorburst in blush. Eyeshadow trio in shimmering sands by covergirl and from their bright eyes collection this is the blue eyes kits and it comes with a little brush. Stopped by the local nail salon and got some pink glitter nail polish for 1 dollar and it is beautiful.

You Tube dilemma

So finally after starting my beauty channel and getting familiar with the YouTube site we have been blocked from using it. We live in Turkey and they frequently decide to block certain websites that they feel (threatened) by. So freakin' angry right now. Luckily I can use my ipod touch application to view it but I am limited. I can search videos and comment like regular but I can visit pages or edit videos or even view my own channel.....BOOOOOO for Turkey!!!!!!!

Summer Look

Ok so I've achieved my summer look. Very neutral very tan. I'm loving this look. My eyes are a blue green hazel color..idk but this look makes them literally pop off my face. So Crazy about it. For Eyes I'm using Nars voyage as a base with ondine in the crease. For cheeks I'm using Nars Dolce Vita and on my lips merle normans lip pencil in coco buff with Nars lipgloss in spriptease.
